Secluded Cemetery Night Route
Use the Secluded Cemetery fast travel point on Sakurajima, then patrol the graveyard after sunset. Sootseer is a nocturnal Pal, so an empty cemetery during the day does not mean the route is wrong.

Cherry Blossom Cave Alpha Route
Sootseer can also appear as an Alpha at the end of Cherry Blossom Cave dungeons on Sakurajima. This is not as direct as the cemetery route because the final Alpha is selected from a dungeon boss pool.

If you are farming Predator Core, do not follow the regular cemetery route and do not camp one old coordinate. Current v1.0 notes changed Predator Pals from fixed-location targets into low-rate encounters across the map.
Old guides may list Feybreak coordinates around -890, -1360.
Use that as historical context only; in the current route, look for a Rampaging / Predator Sootseer while traveling at night and confirm the target by name and aura.
- Main target: Predator Core and Giant Pal Soul, not normal Bone farming.
- How to identify it: check for the Rampaging / Predator label, stronger stats, and the dangerous boss-style fight.
- Important: regular Sootseer and Alpha Sootseer should not be used as a shortcut for Predator drops.

Full Capture Plan
Start At Secluded Cemetery
Make the cemetery fast travel point your anchor. The normal route is a short loop around the graves, shrine paths, and nearby edges of the Sakurajima graveyard.
Arrive After Dark
The regular spawn is tied to night. If the graveyard looks empty during the day, wait for the time cycle instead of abandoning the route.
Sweep, Reset, Repeat
Check the tombstones first, then widen the loop. If Sootseer does not appear, leave render distance, return later in the night, or run the route again next night.
Weaken, Then Catch
Use Water or Dragon attacks to control the fight, then finish with lighter hits so you do not knock it out before you can throw a sphere.
Use Alpha Runs As A Bonus
Cherry Blossom Cave can produce an Alpha Sootseer, but the end boss is random. Use it after you have already checked the faster cemetery route.
Avoid This
Do not mix regular, Alpha, and Predator drop tables, and do not trust old fixed-coordinate Predator routes without checking current v1.0 data.

How To Assign It
